I am truly overjoyed at the opportunity to join the team at The Treehouse: a Forest Garden School. It has always been my goal to foster the next generation of land stewards through outdoor education. I love watching children engage with our natural world and interact with all of the beauty mother nature has to offer. I believe that we all have a hand in helping them build an understanding of permaculture and the impact we have on our shared planet.

I graduated from San Diego State University in 2021 with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sustainability. I hold a deep commitment for restorative justice practices, social advocacy work, and breaking down the barriers to outdoor recreation. I began my childcare career after I graduated in 2021, where I had the pleasure of acting as an outdoor educator at an esteemed nonprofit (Outdoor Outreach) which aimed their programming to be accessible for lower income schools and communities in the greater San Diego area. Since 2023, I have worked as an experiential educator in an after school setting, working to bridge the opportunity gap in school age children and providing opportunities for transformative leadership and collaborative learning.

I have loved to be outside since I was a child. My love of nature and being outside began with my grandparents who would take my sister and I on summer trips to various National Parks. Some of my earliest memories include scaling pine trees and swimming in the ocean off the shore of North Carolina. I recently completed my lifelong dream of moving to the Pacific Northwest and am excited to use it as an opportunity to pursue my hobbies of hiking, rock climbing, and various paddlesports. In my downtime, you'll find me in a hammock reading a book or giving my cat plenty of pets.
